Refund Policy

This Refund Policy statement is made by the Ternate Software (collectively, “Ternate”, “GoldBook”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and is effective as of 30th September 2022.

All our Software as a service (“SaaS”) are available for purchase on our website and mobile applicable. We provide free trial so that you could easily evaluate our services before you make a purchase decision. The trial period helps you evaluate the service to make sure that we meet all your desired needs before you purchase a subscription. The customer can subscribe to one or more micro apps in the GoldBook applications.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy shall apply in case if you wish to do any cancellation of subscription of the GoldBook services.

  1. Free cancellation of Subscription: You may choose to cancel the subscription within 15 days from the date of purchase of subscription and shall be entitled for refund of purchase price amount subject to deduction of payment gateway and such applicable charges and refund price shall always be lesser then the purchase price. You will be eligible for refund, if you have availed the first-time subscription for a particular service. This free cancellation facility is only applicable to first time customers of the app or micro app(s). The date on invoice of service shall be considered as final and conclusive for determining the Purchase Date (hereinafter shall be referred as “Purchase Date”).
  2. Subscription Renewal: We will notify you 7-15 days in advance before your subscription is due for renewal. Further, we do not provide auto debit facility for automatic renewal. If you wish to avail the services, ensure to make the payment on or before the due date. Upon the expiry of the subscription term, we at our sole discretion may provide the access to the platform for maximum 5 more days as grace period from the date of renewal due date. In case, you fail to make the payment within grace period, we reserve absolute and unconditional right to cease your account without notice and liability until we receive the payment.
  3. Exceptions to free cancellations i.e. the customer will not be eligible for free cancellation under following circumstances, whatsoever:
    i. The customers who had opted for the paid subscriptions plans in the past.
    ii. After 15 days from the Purchase Date
    iii. In case of renewal of subscriptions
    iv. In case of any add on services including but not limited to SMS, multiuser functionality etc.
    v. If we have terminated/ suspended your account due to breach of terms of services/ privacy policy or any other policy.
  4. We allow you to upgrade your subscription by purchasing a higher priced subscription. In such a case, the refund shall be governed by the Purchase Date and not from the date of upgrade of subscription (“Upgrade Date”). To clarify, if you avail an upgradation, you will be eligible for refund upon cancellation of the subscription within the cancellation period from the Purchase Date only and not from the date of Upgrade Date. For clarity, upon upgradation, you will not be entitled for refund of the amount paid for the original subscription taken and the amount shall be adjusted against the upgraded or new subscription.
  5. How to raise refund request: All requests for cancellation of subscription and refund should be raised only on the mobile application through the settings module. Cancellation and refund requests raised through any other mode of communication will not be considered for refund, whatsoever.
  6. We at our sole discretion provide GoldBook credit points to the existing customers who refer our services to new customers. The existing customers shall be eligible for GoldBook credit points, if the referred customer opts for any paid GoldBook subscription, and the new customer has not claimed any refund during the free cancellation period. GoldBook shall credit the GoldBook points in GoldBook wallet within 7-10 business days after completion of free cancellation period of the referred customer.
  7. GoldBook referral points cannot be converted into cash or transferred in bank account and can be used to purchase any service of GoldBook only. These points remain valid for 1 year from the date the points are credited in the wallet by GoldBook.
  8. Refund of unutilised balance in the GoldBook wallet: Customer are free to add any amount in the GoldBook wallet for purchasing the GoldBook services and in case of expiry/ termination of the Services, the Customer can raise the request for refund of remaining amount of the GoldBook wallet. GoldBook shall deduct the outstanding fee and shall make the refund of the remaining unutilised balance within 10-15 business days. For clarity, GoldBook referral points cannot be converted into cash or transferred to the customer bank account under any circumstances.
  9. Processing of refund: We have arrangements with banks, affiliates, payment gateways, payment aggregators and other financial service providers for processing refunds (“Third party Service Providers''). We endeavour to ensure that eligible refunds are processed within 10-15 Business days of your request for cancellation of subscription. However, this timeline is indicative and processing of refunds is subject to the time taken by the banks. Refunds, if any will always be processed to the respective account or the banking instrument (credit card, wallet etc.) from which payment was made for that particular service. In case if the customer had made the payment in cash, the refund shall be made by way of a bank transfer and the customer shall provide a cancelled cheque. Refunds will never be processed in cash. In case if there is any error in the account details, GoldBook shall not be held liable for the same and GoldBook shall intimate about the error and may request for correct bank account details, if the Customer again makes any such error, GoldBook at its discretion may not process the refund. Further, 2% of the purchase price will be deducted by GoldBook against manual handling fees against the refund
  10. Payment Gateway Charges and such levy: By submitting a request for refund, you acknowledge and agree that remittance of refund is subject to the charges (such as payment gateway charges, taxes, etc.) and such charges shall be deducted from the refund amount.

Please note that we will not entertain a request for refund (FULL or PRORATED) when we have suspended or terminated your access to GoldBook services due to a violation of our Terms of Service.

This Refund Policy is part of and incorporated within, and is to be read along with the Terms of Service and privacy policy. The terms capitalised in this policy and not defined herein shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Terms of Service.
